same sweater, different project.

so what to do now with a sweater with no sleeves?
since the AE sweater has such a sweet design down the center
i though why not make a knitted headband?
what you need:
1. scissors
2. needle & thread
3. a button or buttons
optional:
liquid stitch

cut along the outside of the pattern, be careful not to cut to close
because it will fray.  Cut the full length of the sweater.

Wrap the headband around your head and mark where you will need a button to keep
it tight.  Use the needle and thread to sew the button
in the necessary location.  At the opposite end of the headband,
cut a small slit in the sweater to wrap around the button.

This is where you could use your liquid stitch to
run along the edges to clean
it up a little.  I on the other hand enjoy the rough look
without using the liquid
stitch, but we all have our own taste.
With this button close style headband you can either wear the
button in the back or in the front, both are shown below

Charlotte Lorraine's has a very large $1 rack, where today
I found this adorable (way to small for me) AE sweater.  So why waste a
dollar on something that I don't fit in? Two words, BOOT SOCKS.
Boot socks are a HOT ticket right now and super easy to make yourself from sleves of old(or new) sweaters.

Using  a neutral color such as this one above leaves your wearing window wide open.  You can wear this color with every outfit imaginable.

cut the sweater sleeve off.. the best part about this is the line doesn't have to be straight, this is the end that will be tucked into your boots.  If you dont have a sewing machine you can also leave this end ragged, again it wont be seen.

Guess what?? YOUR DONE!! How easy was that.. not just slide your leg through the sleeve with the "wrist" end at your knee.

Wear them bare legged..

or wear them over jeans to add some extra texture and color to your outfit.

the best part about, is I spent $1.00 :)
